Inside look at Circuit Riders

It is crazy to think that Circuit Riders was once ten people working out my parents garage. Now it has grown into a global youth movement carrying the same pioneering spirit and passion but now with an actual office space.

Our Day-To-Day Role

Emily and I give leadership to more than 250 full-time staff. Our ministry is divided into six distinct teams (1) movements (2) fields, (3) music, (4) media, (5) operations and (6) training. Our responsibility is to set direction, establish and maintain culture, embed in teams to push forward strategic breakthroughs and to look to the growth of impact. Our projects are large in scope and require the coordination and collaboration of our whole team to pull off. At the end of the day our roles require us to be the visionary anchor, strategic architect, and relational catalyst who guides and actively facilitates the growth and success of each initiative within the movement. Though we must say we are surrounded by some of the brightest and most competent leaders around to make it all happen.

Global Tours

One of our primary projects is our global tours to university and high school campuses. Every year, we launch dozens of teams to reach hundreds of university and high school campuses. We unite believers on campus, train them in evangelism, go on outreach with them, and work to spark sustainable, long-term evangelistic initiatives. When we started, Emily, a few friends, and I would get in cars and travel across America, working with anyone willing. Now, this effort has grown into movements like Carry The Love, Black Voices Movement, Brave Love Women, and the Jesus Clubs tour, where last year alone we reached more than 40,000 students.

The Key Is…

At the core of Circuit Riders is the belief that everyone has the capacity for leadership but it is about identifying peoples gifting, helping them grow in character, equipping them with practical skillsets and unleashing them to have meaningful opportunity. Everything we do is possible because of the culture of development and empowerment my Dad originally built in Circuit Riders. It expresses itself in Circuit Rider Experience, our discipleship training school, that trains hundreds of young people every year and organically, as we individually develop our staff.

Centered Around Jesus

While we bring our best to Circuit Riders it is the enabling presence of Jesus that has sustained, accelerated and grown Circuit Riders. The miracles are too many to count and many stories just don't have an explanation outside of the grace of God. As a community we gather around worship and Bible teaching every Monday Night and have prayer meetings throughout the week.

It all comes together

Our media team brings everything we do together through communicating the message and vision of Circuit Riders with such creativity and excellence. We have a value for pushing the limits of creativity and taking risk. Gen Z is an artist generation and in many ways creativity is their language. We see reaching people with media where they are with the message of Jesus as a high-priority at Circuit Riders.

The amplifier

Our music team is the amplifier of our message. A few thousand people may watch my messages but millions sing our songs. It has been incredible to watch how God has drawn the most servant hearted and talented musicians and singers to Circuit Rider Music. There is such a diversity of sound but their heart for Jesus and the generation unites them.

Projects on projects

The list is too long to overview each evangelistic project right now at Circuit Riders but that is the way we like it. We have young people working on nearly every continent collaborating with other young people to reach their generation. As we say at Circuit Riders, "Our passion is Jesus, our mission field is our generation and our opportunity is now."
